Getting to Anglesey is easy.

The North Wales Coast Road to Anglesey. A55.
The A55 Coast Road, and the main London Holyhead Railway skirt the sea for some of the journey from Chester. The views approaching Colwyn Bay are spectacular either from the car or the train and you feel very much on holiday There are plenty of fuel and eating stops on the A55.
Motorway Links accross the UK to North Wales.
UK motorway links from the North, South and East get you to Chester or Shrewsbury for the A5 and A55 (A55 history) North Wales Coast Road. The A55 Coast Road opened hitherto painfull and ancient access to North Wales. The road is very fast access to and from the M56 and M6.
Road routes to Anglesey are Motorway or Dual Carriageway from all quarters of the UK. Coed y Berclas is three miles from the A55 at Menai Bridge.

Trains services to North Wales.
Direct trains from London Euston to Holyhead ply daily; all stopping at Bangor just 10 to 15 mins by taxi from Coed y Berclas.
All London Holyhead trains call at Crewe; the central west coast hub, to which rail access is available from all parts of the UK.

By Air to Anglesey and main UK airports.
Manchester and Liverpool John Lennon are the closest International Airports both with car hire facilities, both about 1.5 hours drive from Coed y Berclas.
The rail link from Manchester Airport Terminal is via Crewe to North Wales. From Liverpool (bus/taxi from Airport to L'pool centre) via Chester.
A weekday service flies between Cardiff and RAF Valley operated by Manx Airways
A terminal building has been constructed and plans to offer flights to other destinations such as Dublin are in development.
Mona Flying Club on Anglesey and Caernarfon Airport
For those of you who fly privately and enjoy the stunning vistas of Snowdonia and the Menai Strait from the air, there is a flying club at Mona on Anglesey (RAF Valley's second runway) and is about 20 minutes drive from the cottage. Taxis would be available from Llangefni. Caernarfon airport, also private, is about 40 minutes drive from Coed y Berclas.
By Sea from Ireland
Irish Ferries and Stena Line both run fast catamarans and conventional ferries accross the Irish Sea from Dublin to Holyhead port on the North West corner of Anglesey. Ferries depart from two ports fairly close to each other in Ireland:- Port of Dun Laochaire and the city Port of Dublin. Both can be reached by road or train. Coed y Berclas, on Anglesey, can be reached by train and taxi, or by car, which can be hired at Holyhead Port. Contact us for advice.
